Spend a Night in the World’s northernmost Igloo Hotel

The Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel was the first of its kind in Norway and the second of its kind across the globe. Today the Igloo Hotel is the Northernmost Igloo Hotel in the World and is built each year with a new and unique theme.

Since 2000, the Igloo Hotel has been built by local artists and builders using natural snow and ice that we harvest ourselves from a nearby lake. As the years have passed Sorrisniva has brought in innovative and professional artists from around the world to join their team of experienced locals to develop new techniques and bring more knowledge to this part of the region in Northern Norway. Every spring the Igloo Hotel melts, and we begin the cycle again as we plan the theme and design of the next build.

Igloo Room
Feaures a king-size bed (240 cm wide) with a bed frame made of ice and a real mattress covered in reindee hides.

Two connecting double rooms with a king-size bed (240 cm wide) a bed frame made of ice and a real mattress covered in reindeer hides.
Capacity: Up to 6 people
Rooms: Double Occupancy / for 3 Adults / for 2 Adults + 1 Child / for 2 Adults + 2 Child

Themed Suite
Features a unique theme and designed room with a bed that has a designed bed frame made from ice, real mattress, reindeer hides and a wooden door.
Capacity: Up to 2 people
Rooms: Single Occupancy / Double Occupancy / for 2 Adults + 1 Child
