HHL100

A Taste of real Mushing – 2,5 hours

Alta is the home of Europe’s longest sled dog race – Finnmarksløpet – and the place where our family’s mushing story began. Since 1986, we’ve trained, raced, and lived side by side with our Alaskan Huskies in the quiet, expansive beauty of the Arctic. This is more than a profession for us; it’s a way of life shaped by snow, wilderness, and the deep bond between musher and dog. This 2,5 hours experience offers a refined introduction to that world. After a warm welcome at our kennel, you’ll meet the dogs – athletic, eager, and trained for both racing and guest mushing. With guidance from experienced mushers, you’ll learn the essentials before taking the reins of your own team. Together, you’ll glide along select section of the legendary Finnmarksløpet trail, surrounded by pristine landscapes and the soft rhythm of paws on snow. Throughout the journey, your guide ensures comfort, confidence, and a smooth ride, sharing stories from the trail and insights into the life of a musher. The small group size allows for personal attention and unhurried moments with the dogs, making the experience feel intimate and exclusive. Expect crisp Arctic air, sweeping views, and a sense of calm that only the wilderness can offer. It’s a hands-on, elevated adventure that brings you into the heart of Arctic mushing- authentic, serene, and unforgettable.
