AI54: Hiking with Huskies

It's summertime, and the dogs at Trasti & Trine are taking a rest before starting their training for the next year's racing season. But there is still a lot going on at the husky farm.

Come visit us and take a tour of the farm. You'll get a chance to meet the dogs (they are working dogs, but very friendly and eager to meet you). With the tour of the dog yard complete, we'll take a few of our dogs, outfit them with special packs to carry supplies, and then it's off for a hike with your hosts and dog companions. You can choose either to walk along the forest and nearby Alta River, or head up out of the valley to a nearby mountain top. Along the way, you'll stop for a break around an open fire for hot drinks, homemade cake and good conversation.

The tour includes the time at the husky farm, the hike with the dogs, and drinks and snacks. Transport to and from Trasti & Trine is not included in the price. Guests must provide their own clothing and shoes or hiking boots that are suitable for a walk through sometimes-muddy terrain.
