CABIN ‘Radderud’
2-bedroom Rooms with a panoramic view into the forest and up to the skies! The rooms have large windows in bothe floors and gives you the feeling of being outside with the inside comfort. It’s a two-floor wooden builing, the first floor has two separate rooms with one double bed each, a bathroom with shower and toilet, a small kitchen spot with sink plus kettle and a hall room. The second floor has a living room with sofa and a kitchen table/chairs.
* Suitable for 4-6 persons.

CABIN ‘Alaska’, ‘Elva’, ‘Gaisa’, and ‘Kjøkkenhagen’
1-bedroom cabins with double beds. Two floor buildings, vertical divided with separate entrance for each unit. First floor there is one bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom, a small kitchen spot with sink and kettle and a hall. Second floor a living room with sofa and kitchen table/chairs.
* Suitable for 2-3 persons.

Short day trips with accommodation at a hotel/mountain lodge/in a tent

Accommodation Thon Kautokeino:
With Kautokeino as a starting point, you can take day trips for fishing several different types of fish. In the area there are trout, char, pike and grayling, and you have the possibility of a new personal record for all these types of fish. You will need transport from the hotel out to the start of the tour to reach the various fishing grounds. How many days and how varied you want to fish can be adjusted.We adapt the trips according to your wishes, what kind of fish you are looking for, how much time you have available and how you want to get there. Through partners, we can offer trips by seaplane, ATV, car, or the good old way of getting around: hiking. You arrange the plane tickets to Finnmark and we arrange the rest.

Includes:
Transport Transport Alta – Kautokeino. Transport to and from the fishing grounds (every day).

Requirements for personal equipment:
Suitable hiking clothes and fishing rod (I can equip approx. 5 people with fishing equipment. We have to buy lures in advance as we use something different than they do in Europe).

We start by driving up the valley of Tverrelvdalen past the slate quarries at Stilla and Nullpunktet – where the historic demonstrations against the construction of the hydroelectric power plant took place – then up to Sautso. We start paddling 2 km down river from the dam and you will soon gain your first experience of northern Europe’s largest canyon.

Few people venture into the Alta Canyon, primarily because it’s so difficult to get there. You will experience incredible nature, eagles, salmon, various duck species and long river boats in perfect union! If we’re lucky, we can add a moose and fox as well!

We set up camp just below the Alta Canyon. We can gather around the campfire and talk about the incredible nature we have experienced and the huge and majestic Canyon we have just paddled down. Many may need the night for the experience to sink in so that we don’t run out of things to talk about during breakfast. We then paddle further down the river and hopefully experience the eccentric salmon fishing that takes place in the Alta River.

The trip ends at Sorrisniva or Bollo, roughly 25 km further down river. We expect to be back in Alta between 16.00 and 18.00 (4-6pm), but this time may be adapted to suit your plans.
