New Year's Eve is a special time all around the world, and Alta is no exception. There are many different ways to celebrate. Come be with us out in the wilderness, far away from crowds and plastic party hats, and greet the new year with the crackle of a fireplace instead of honking horns and rowdy screams.
We will take you out into nature to our wilderness camp, where we will have a peaceful evening out in the quiet and dark arctic plateau. There will be a warm and cheerful bonfire, exciting stories, tasty traditional local food, and a cozy, calm atmosphere. Our local host will take care of you and make sure you are neither cold nor hungry. We will serve you traditional bidos (reindeer stew) cooked over the open fire, and cloudberry cream for dessert. What better way to experience New Year's Eve than with good company around a fireplace in one of the most remote places on Earth!
The tour includes transport from and back to downtown Alta, a late dinner, and the traditional Norwegian out-on-the-trail experience.
