Come and spend a long, cozy winter's evening out at Sorrisniva. Your hosts will combine magical sights and delightful flavors to give you an unforgettable experience.

You will be picked up from Scandic Hotel in downtown Alta and driven out to the countryside where Sorrisniva is located. When you arrive, you will be treated to a visit inside the famous Igloo Hotel, built from the ground up every single year entirely with local snow and ice. The large hotel contains around 30 rooms, suites, a chapel, an ice bar and a large central area with an art gallery and sitting areas. The building is decorated throughout with spectacular ice sculptures and snow tapestries carved into the walls - it's a fairyland come to life. Need a little antifreeze? The bartender has just the thing: a Blue Igloo, served to you (of course) in a glass made of ice.

After your tour of the hotel, you will head next door to the main building (heated and made of wood, not ice and snow) and have dinner at the Laksestua restaurant. The menu is prepared by a local chef who has won regional and national awards for his combination of local ingredients and intriguing flavors. And when dinner is done, you'll head out and into the winter darkness with a guide from Sorrisniva on a walk to hopefully get a glimpse of the Northern Lights overhead. And finally, you will be returned safe and sound to Alta for the night.

The tour includes transport between Scandic Hotel Alta and Sorrisniva, a tour of the Igloo Hotel, 3-course dinner, and a Northern Lights walk after dinner. The "Blue Igloo" drink in the ice bar is not included in the price, and may be purchased either in advance or at Sorrisniva for an extra NOK 100 per drink. Drinks with dinner are also not included, and may be purchased separately.
