It's summertime, and the dogs at Northern Lights Husky are taking a rest before starting their training for the next year's racing season. But even when they are on holiday, the dogs love to walk and run through the forest and the wilderness. Come join them on an evening hike that will take you out into the bright arctic night, powered by the midnight sun.
When you arrive at the husky farm, your hosts will give you a tour of the dog yard and you'll get a chance to meet the dogs (they are working dogs, very friendly and eager to meet you). A few of the dogs will be chosen to accompany you on the hike, outfitted with special packs so they can carry supplies for the trip. Then you and your hosts are off and into the wilderness. You'll head upwards to a nearby mountaintop, stopping along the way for a late dinner served around an open fire. Whether it's clear or cloudy, it's a magical experience to hike through the forest at night in the endless bright daylight.
The tour includes the time at the husky farm, the mountain hike and dinner. Guests must provide their own clothing and shoes or hiking boots that are suitable for a walk through a sometimes-muddy forest.
