North Cape, celebrated as the northernmost point of Europe's land, is a very popular destination for travelers from around the world. But it's not the easiest place to get to, especially for people who are planning activities in Alta, Tromsø¸ or other cities in the north. If you want to make the pilgrimage to North Cape with the smallest impact on your budget, this is a great way to see the "beginning of the world". (Note that your time in North Cape will be fairly short if you want to travel there by bus in a single day. If you have the budget or the time, take a look at North Adventure's Private Tour to North Cape or contact us to help you have fun in that area over a day or two more!)

You'll start from Alta bright and early in the morning on Boreal's comfortable bus. The road will take you through the forested valleys around Alta, and then up and onto the rough and rugged Finnmarksvidda high plateau. You will travel through the sparsely-covered land of rolling hills out to the coast, stop in the little town of Honningsvåg, and then the rest of the way north to North Cape.

Wander out to the big iron globe at the land's edge. Look around, and look out to the open ocean... it really does feel like the start or end of the whole world! Grab refreshments in the coffee shop there, explore the visitor center or stop in at the huge souvenir shop before heading back to the Alta-bound bus.

The tour includes the bus ride from Alta to North Cape and back, and entrance to North Cape. Contact North Adventure for more extensive tours and activities in and around North Cape, Honningsvåg and the rest of the north coast.
