Alta Fjord is rich in bird and animal life, and just as fertile when it comes to breathtaking scenery. The summer season is the perfect time to slip into the water in a sturdy seaworthy kayak and glide along in the peaceful water, marveling at the sights and sounds and smells of the arctic.
Your hosts will pick you up from Alta city center and take you to the starting point. Never paddled a kayak before? No problem! You will get all the help and instructions you need to properly operate the craft. If you're highly experienced, you'll also enjoy the company of your guides as they expertly accompany you, pointing out places of interest as you pass them. Midway through the tour, you'll stop at a beach and enjoy lunch cooked over an open fire.
The tour includes transport from and back to Alta, necessary equipment, the tour, and lunch. The exact route will depend on weather and wind conditions at the time of the tour.
