Ice fishing isn't just about catching fish. Whether or not you get a bite, it's an unforgettable experience to sit in the tranquil wilderness, a fishng pole in one hand and a hot drink in the other, waiting for a tug on the line. Ice fishing in the Alta area is all the more enjoyable thanks to the raw nature that surrounds you here. Mountains dressed in sweeping snow blankets; the still, crisp air; the fish that you know are down there somewhere... all of it together is nothing short of magical.
The tour begins with a short trip on snowshoes - it will take only around 15 minutes from the starting point outside of Alta to our fishing spot. We will use a long drill to bore a hole in the ice, and guests will share fishing gear and get tips on how to try your luck. We will build a fire nearby both for cheer and for cooking. Did you catch a fish? You just caught lunch! But even if you don't get a bite, there will still be trail food that you can cook yourself over the fire. The food will satisfy your stomach, and the whole experience will feed your inner soul.
The tour includes transport from and back to Alta city center, warm clothing as needed, snowshoes, all the necessary fishing gear, lunch, coffee and soft drinks.
