Alta is a mountain biking paradise!
A long list of wonderful biking trails is hidden in the Alta Valley. Some trails and tracks are well known and are many people’s favourites, while others are hidden gems that few use. Take an opportunity to explore the area with a local and go places a little out of the ordinary! On this trip we choose between trails and tracks such as Sonja Kristins Cocktail, Jorra Trail, Altaelva øst, Skogvannet, Mosesens bakgård, Gakorivannet, Kaiskuru, Raipas and more. We will take a break along the way and light an open fire at a nice spot. Smell, hear, taste and feel the nature as you rush past!
A local guide (with bike repair skills) will lead you safely on familiar and unfamiliar trails and tracks. The guide will choose a trail and adapt the challenges to suit the participants, so there will be just the right level of experience whether you are a veteran rider or you simply want to give mountain biking a try and experience Alta's natural beauty from a bike seat. The trip is also shorter than the full-day version of the tour, so it's a good fit for people who need a little less intensity or simply don't have time for a longer tour.
The tour includes transport from and back to Alta town center, the guided ride, and snacks during the break around the fire.
