Do you want to go for a walk to one of Altas best viewpoints? On this 4,5km arctic wandering trip we leave the city and head down towards the fjord via our viewpoint and several historic landmarks en route.

Our local guide tells you about the history of Alta from the earliest settlements, the early northern lights research in the area, nature and culture, Recherche expedition in the fjord, the local church, the Northern Lights Cathedral, Alta's favorable position under the Northern Lights belt and the local history up until today.

We also stop by our fireplace near the sea where we enjoy the silence and make a fire. Included in the trip is traditional Norwegian waffle cake as warm drinks.

Starting point outside The Northern Lights Cathedral, main entrance in the city center of Alta. Wear warm clothes and shoes according to the season and arctic climate. The tour includes walking of approximately 4.5 kilometers. The tour has a limited size, but can be run twice daily.
