The Northern Lights Cathedral is one of Alta’s newest and most striking landmarks. Ever since it opened in February of 2013, it has delighted visitors with its challenging symbolism and unique design.
Guests will travel by guided bus to the cathedral. The guide will talk about the architecture, construction and artwork both inside and outside the cathedral, and visitors will have plenty of time to take pictures or just sit and take in the still atmosphere inside.
A city tour by bus will accompany the visit to the cathedral, to point out other landmarks around Alta and give the guide a chance to talk more about the history and daily life in this arctic town.
Please note that we are unable to offer this tour when there are services being conducted inside the church.
