Komsa Mountain sits right between the ship harbor and city center. Rising 213 meters over sea level, its designation as a “mountain” is a little bit of a stretch, but it is Alta’s most popular “big hill” to climb.
A quick shuttle bus ride with the hiking guide will bring the group to the base of the mountain. From there, it’s a fairly easy half-hour climb to reach the top. The hikers will be rewarded with a 360-degree view of the area over Alta city, the nearby river valleys and the sparkling fjord. There will be time to relax, enjoy the view and take pictures before the hike back down again. Once down, a shuttle bus will pick up the group and bring them back to the ship.
