This tour is a three-hour trek out in Alta’s forests. Strap on snowshoes and crunch along on top of the snow. Make your way through the trees along the trail, keeping an eye out for wildlife tracks... and maybe the wildlife, too! After some walking, take a break at a lovely frozen river or lake, and give ice fishing a try. But whether or not you catch an arctic char or trout, there will be something delicious to eat cooked over an open fire at the camp. After the meal and good conversation with your guide and companions, it will be time to head back to the starting point and the bus back to Alta.
Bring your camera, as there are many photo opportunities!
The tour will involve walking for 30-60 minutes in each direction. The terrain is not extreme, but guests should be fit enough to walk over snow for an extended period.
